Stained Glass

Rose Window

Above the altar and behind the cross you will see the rose window. It is original to the sanctuary when it was constructed in 1956. It depicts Christ in the garden of Gethsemane. Around the edge of the window are small images related to Christianity.

Rose Window

In 2006, the 8 original stained glass windows in the sanctuary and the 3 in the balcony, and the 4 in the narthex were replaced with windows designed by Steven Wilson [Courier article]. The left side (facing the altar) in the sanctuary features the New Testament and the right side features the Old Testament. The 3 small windows in the balcony represent baptism, the Trinity, and communion. The 2 large windows in the narthex feature Jonah and music/praise. The 2 small oval windows in the narthex represent United Methodism: the cross & flame and a circuit riding preacher.
