PASTOR’S MESSAGE
"Trading Spaces”

Jackie Shely and I have just traded spaces.  Actually, it is a bit more complicated than that.  Pam Jordan’s office upstairs vibrated so much, due to the air conditioning, that it was becoming a distraction to her.  We also felt it would be good to have our Financial Secretary downstairs where she would be more accessible to our church members.
With our new digs, Jackie has more room for all her machines and more work space.  I still have plenty of room for all my books, computer, desk, and there is even room for counseling couples.
Pam is no longer vibrating along with her office and is much easier to get along with these days!
I have been looking for something since we traded spaces.  I’m pretty sure that it was on the top of my desk at the time of the move, but I can’t find it now.  I’m about to give up the search,
because it’s not that important anyway.
As I looked for my lost item, I thought about all the displaced people living among us.  The order of their world and lives has been out of whack for weeks now.  Jobs, homes, family, friends, faith communities, and familiar surroundings are all confused now.  Even when they are able to go home again, home will be very different.
I am so happy that we have been seeing so many displaced persons finding a temporary church
home among us.  Let’s help them feel welcomed and at home here.
                                                                        Peace!  Barry
