PASTOR’S MESSAGE
“Even If You Don’t Drink Coffee”
Creating Christian Community Through Service and Sharing.  This is the mission statement of our church.  There is a new event which is coming up this Sunday evening which fits the “Creating Christian Community” party of our mission statement.  At 6:00PM we will gather in the Fellowship Hall for our first Coffeehouse.  The concept is that we will gather for a time of fellowship, music and a devotion.  It is meant to be intergenerational.  It is my hope that it will be kind of like the time of fellowship between our worship services.
* It will be a time for us to visit with one another.
* It will be a time for us to get to know one another better.
* It will be a time to have some fun together.
* It will be a time when all ages will play together.
One of the things which I read lately was that people are looking for a place to fit in.  They long for community in their lives.  They want meaningful relationship with other people.
The Church ought to be a place where people can find a place to belong.  It ought to be a place where people can come together to simply enjoy being in community.  Our Sunday evening coffeehouse is an attempt to create community.
If you are going to be in town, won’t you make your plans to join us this Sunday evening at 6:00PM.  I am looking forward to seeing you there!
                                           Peace!  Barry
