Don comes to FUMC Houma after spending 10 years at Horseshoe UMC in Alexandria. Prior to that, he served three years at the Arcadia-Mt. Mariah Charge. His 17 years as a campus minister and adjunct faculty member at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette have left clear marks on his ministry style and perspective. Don and Ann are proud parents of their son Robert, who with his wife, Holly, lives in North Carolina, and their daughter, Sharon, of Lafayette. Hiking, travel, and landscaping are some his favorite activities.
"My greatest joy in ministry involves helping people to come into a personal relationship with God. Jesus has come that we might have life and have it abundantly. He teaches us how to love people and use things, rather than love things and use people. I believe that Jesus breaks down those walls that separate us. When we gather for worship and focus our attention on God who created us all, we are able to see life in the right perspective. Jesus brings us together to God, who is the father of us all."
