We left a little earlier this morning and arrived at the church
about 7:15 AM. We continued with the same jobs as yesterday.
Margie worked with the youth today, while Tim got to take "the tour" with
Mr. Andy to get supplies. "The tour" is the back road to Atoka, where
Andy will show you his house, where he went to school, where his parents
lived, and so on. He also tells you stories of his life. I
found out from the preacher that Andy puts most of his money ... which
comes from a military pension ... into the church. For a while, he
was taking care of the apportionments for the church just about by himself.
We worked on fixing up the old fellowship hall so that it could
be used as a classroom. Martha and the youth sanded and painted the
walls and ceiling. Steve and some of the youth also rehung the doors.
There were benches under the trees where we could sit,
rest, and have refreshments.
