PASTOR’S MESSAGE
"Always Room for More”
We worshiped for the first time in our Fellowship Hall this past Sunday.  It was interesting to see folks look for their usual spot in an unfamiliar setting.  It was also a thing of wonder to experience worship in our “new” space.  It felt very good.  We were closer to each other than we usually are and the back rows filled up first, but it really felt like church.
There was something that happened at this service which I don’t know that I fully expected would happen in the way that it did–community.
*   I don’t know if it is because we are closer together . . .
*   I don’t know if it is because the rows are angled . . .
*   I don’t know if it is because of the pews which surround
    the room . . .
*   I don’t know if it is because the band and choir are facing      us throughout the service . . .
*   I don’t know if it is because the space is a bit less formal.
But somehow it seemed to me like we were visiting with one another more than usual.
I have heard that building projects can help unite a church in a common goal and cause growth.  I think I experienced a bit to that this past Sunday.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful if both services were packed and we had to start a third service to accommodate a growing, worshiping community?  Let’s dream and build together!
                                                                        Peace!  Barry

WE’VE HEARD FROM OUR FRIENDS, THE EINSELS!
Barbara and Alan Einsel have sent us a card updating us on their personal experience, and Bogalusa’s experience  with Hurricane Katrina.  That area was hit VERY HARD!  They ask that we pray for Bogalusa!
Their card will be on the bulletin board in the back foyer.  Stop by and read it at your convenience!  They still have no phones or Internet at home, so communications are limited.  You may send mail to 202 Cedar Road, Bogalusa, 70427.
