FELLOWSHIP TIME When: After 8:30AM Service Where: Activity Building Enjoy Coffee, donuts, milk, juice and great fellowship! UNITED METHODIST WOMEN UMW General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 6th, at 10:00AM in the Fellowship Hall. A Christmas Covered-Dish Luncheon will follow. Members please bring a covered dish, a guest, and wrapped “White Elephant” gifts from you and your guest. COME EAT CHILI! BE ENTERTAINED! SHOP! Join us Sunday, December 4th,10:30-1:00PM in the Activity Building for a Chili Luncheon sponsored by the UMY. Tickets for the Chili Lunch are $5, and are available in the church office or the day of the event. Enjoy entertainment between 12:00Noon and 1:00PM featuring Frank Porter, the Cherub Choir, and Donna Sammarco. Don’t miss out on “Youth Mart.” The youth will have various items for sale including a new church T-shirt designed by a few of our youth. Also available: Christmas magnets, ornaments, candles and wrapping for those special Christmas gifts. CHRISTMAS OFFERING FOR OUR CHURCH STAFF! Each Christmas we try to express our appreciation to our hardworking Church staff with a Christmas bonus. This money is raised solely by gifts from the congregation. Our Minister and ALL Church staff will SHARE this gift. An envelope marked “Staff Appreciation” is included in your bulletin or available on the table in the Fellowship Hall. ADVENT STUDY ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7TH Pick up a copy of our study book from the church office. We will reconnect with the real reason for Christmas, using Margaret Silf’s Lighted Windows: Advent Reflections for a World in Waiting. CHERUB CHOIR The Cherub Choir, accompanied by Mrs. Donna Sammarco, will perform at the Chili Fundraiser this Sunday, December 4th. Members, please report to the Activity Building Gym after the Children’s Sermon during the 11:00 Service on Sunday morning to practice before the luncheon! Ms. Shirley will be there to escort you to practice. BELL CHOIR CONCERT AT MULBERRY CHURCH! YOU have the opportunity to ring in the holiday season with a concert of beautiful Christmas melodies featuring the Bell Choirs from FUMC and Mulberry Baptist Church! Donna Sammarco will play the prelude on the piano and accompany the bell choirs on the organ for the finale. The concert will take place at 6:00PM on Sunday, December 4th. Please plan now to attend and invite friends as well! LES BELLES CLOCHETTES SPECIAL REHEARSAL! The Bell Choir will rehearse on Saturday, December 3rd from 9-11:00AM. WE NEED EVERYONE for a successful rehearsal! Thanks for your dedication! VOICES OF LIGHT The youth choir will practice every Sunday from 4-5:00PM. We NEED each of you there to practice our Christmas music! We will sing for the White Gifts Service on Sunday, December 18th, at 6:00PM. If you would like to give a Christmas present to a needy child and present it that evening, let Ms. Beth know. MACDONELL CHILDREN’S GREETING CARDS We still have a box of lovely greeting cards made by the children of our local Macdonell’s Children’s Home. You will find these cards in the back foyer of the church. Still a great bargain at $5 per pack of 10 cards and envelopes. FAMILY COVERED DISH LUNCHEONS BEGIN FEB. 06 On Sunday, February 5th, 2006, we will kick off our first monthly Sunday Covered Dish Luncheon. On the FIRST Sunday of each month thereafter, we will have a Covered Dish Luncheon. Bring your favorite dish or two and join us in the Activity Building after the 11:00AM Service for a delicious meal and great fellowship! Entertainment will be provided by Frank Porter, Donna Sammarco, and the Cherub Choir. TUESDAY MORNING PRAYER GROUP Become a part of our Prayer Group that meets on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall. UMW’S SHUT-IN MINISTRY THANKS to every one for the many donations to the UMW’s Shut-In Ministry. SPECIAL THANKS to Bette Adams and her team of dedicated ladies who sewed the bags for the gifts.
