(Leader
Selection and Development)
The Committee on Nominations
and Personnel, now known as Leader Selection and Development, nominates
laity for job responsibilities in the local church. The nominations
are voted on at charge conference. Up to nine persons may serve on
the committee. Throughout the year the committee is supposed to guide
the administrative bodies on personnel matters (not including paid staff)
and find, support, and recognize leaders.

262.1 of the 2000 Discipline. Additional information the task
of the Leader Selection and Development committee can be found in the Guidelines
available from Discipleship Resources. It has been posted online

gives more practical advice on how the committee should operate.
