The FUMC Music Academy is an Academy for children 6 years and older as well as adults who are interested in taking private piano, voice, guitar, and electric bass lessons.

Instructors include Mrs. Rachel Billiot Klaus, and Mr. Michael C. Klaus. Rachel is the Music Instructor for Lafourche Parish School Board's Talented and Gifted program. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano with a Minor in Voice from Nicholls State University , and a Master of Music degree in Piano performance from the University of Southern Mississippi . Rachel teaches piano and voice lessons. Michael is a senior at Nicholls State University where he will receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Music in May 2010. Michael has been singing and playing guitar and electric bass professionally for 9 years. Michael teaches guitar, bass, voice, and beginning piano lessons.

Lessons are $60 a month for one 30 minute lesson per week. Hour lessons can be given for $120 a month at the discretion of the instructor. Each student must pay a one-time, non-refundable registration fee to the Music Academy each semester (Spring, Summer, Fall).
