CHANCEL
CHOIR
The Music Ministry at First United Methodist Church is centered on
the Chancel Choir, the adult choir for the 11:00 A.M. weekly Sunday worship
service. The Chancel Choir presents annual musical programs including
Christmas and Lenten / Easter music, Broadway Blockbusters, Old Time Religion
Sunday, and the Ecumenical Songfest. The Chancel Choir is frequently
asked to perform for the community. The Chancel Choir is led by Dr.
Kenneth Klaus. Donna Sammarco is the church organist and supports
various musical needs of the church.
The
Chancel Choir practices weekly, each Wednesday, from 7:00 P.M. to 8:45
P.M. in the Activities Building, Rm. 404. A Nursery is provided for
children in the Education Building, Rm. 107.
The
Early Choir is a group of adults and youth that provide music for the 8:30
A.M. Sunday worship service on the first and third Sundays of each month.
They meet in the choir room (Activities Building, Rm. 404) at 8:00 A.M.
prior to the service. |
