CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

    First United Methodist Church’s Children’s Ministries include many activities from birth through 6th grade. The Church provides a nursery starting from birth during Sunday School, Worship Services, meetings and activities.
     Sunday School classes are provided from 9:45 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. each Sunday for children. The classes include Nursery, 2 year olds through 6th grade. All children are welcome in the worship service to participate in the Service, the story sermon, and communion.
      Interested children, 2nd through 6th grades are trained to become Acolytes and participate in the 11:00 A.M. Sunday Service. Our music program includes singing and handbell choirs. Confirmation / membership classes for the 6th grader’s is conducted by the Pastor each Spring.
      During the year, outside of Sunday School, there are activities that include seasonal parties, programs with crafts and games, and food for the children. Our Summer program includes Vacation Bible School and occasional special events for children.
      The Family Ministries plan and coordinate activities for children that include the Easter Egg Hunt and Family Picnic, March of the Palms, Promotion Sunday, Sunday School assemblies, and special Christmas projects.
